7. (before this step, existing item records for vols to be stored are deleted) Start with Sheet Shelf List.

8. Transcribe the SSL info into excel.

9. Modify: Copy the list into a new excel sheet with columns as shown. Fill in call # and title.

10. (Need access to a list of barcodes. Bonnie has a “barcode generator”) Assign barcodes.

11. Prepare a new spreadsheet that will be used to create items in Josiah. Column A is barcode, Column B is the volume info. Save as “additem.csv”

12. Use macro in Macro Express.

14. Launch character-based Josiah to run the macro. THIS ENDS THE JOSIAH UPDATE PART.

15. Go back to the spreadsheet which will be used to create Flags. To sort them: In column A (order) number so each row is previous row plus 3. Go down 1/3 and change cell to “2”; go down 2/3 and change cell to “3”. Copy and “paste-special” the values.

16. Sort by column A. Save and close file.

17. Open page_slips_SERIALS doc. Using “merge” toolbar navigate so source is the file you want. Change the head info. Then merge to a new doc.

18. Save this file as word doc. To print, “print” or “save” to PDF. Then print PDF.
