4 SAMPLE PSAT/NMSQT SCORE REPORT Student score reports are available online. Students can view the report by signing in to their College Board account.

5 SAMPLE PSAT/NMSQT SCORE REPORT This page displays the student’s scores and percentiles in each test section. Students are compared to other students in the same grade. Each student receives an equivalent SAT score, which can be used to plan for the actual test. No test measures precisely what someone knows, and many factors affect results. Therefore, test makers think of each score as a range that extends from a few points above to a few points below.

6 SAMPLE PSAT/NMSQT SCORE REPORT NMSQT is open only to students in the 11 th grade. For more info visit: www.nationalmerit.org www.nationalmerit.org Next steps are based on each student’s scores. Students can see which skills they performed well on and which they need to improve. Additional next steps for each student are included in the full online score report. Students can also link their College Board account to Khan Academy for personalized practice recommendations.

7 SAMPLE PSAT/NMSQT SCORE REPORT Score report is designed to be used with the student’s test booklet. The score report lists all of the student’s answers and allows him/her to see the correct answer and difficulty level for each question. The student is able to see detailed answer explanations as to why his/her responses were correct for incorrect.

8 U SING PSAT RESULTS IN THE COURSE SELECTION PROCESS Students can use score ranges to identify areas for improvement and align their course selections with self-defined academic goals AP Potential data is used to identify students who are likely to earn a score of 3 or higher on a given AP exam
