Science is Questionable With your elbow partner (the person sitting next to you, not behind or in front or across the room), discuss each of the questions and complete the worksheet. Read the directions first! We will discuss your work when everyone is finished.

The Scientific Method Tomorrow we will watch a Mythbusters episode to re-enforce this process

Mythbusters! Watch the episode of Mythbusters and complete the worksheet. Make sure that you fill out every question and describe the whole procedure, not just the final test!!

What’s Up With That Graph? Graphs are an extremely important part of science. They organize our data and allow us to see patterns in order to analyze and interpret our results. You will be completing the graphs worksheet, but first, let’s talk about what all graphs should have… Title X-Axis Label (Manipulated Variable) Key Increments that are evenly spaced, evenly numbered (by 2s, 5s, 10s, etc.) numbered, and cover data range starting with 0 (zero) Y- Axis Label (Responding Variable)

Use Your Words You will be expected to know around 20 vocab words for each unit of study. By the end of the year you should be able to know what each word means and use it when discussing the topics we study. Over the next four days we will be doing a different unit’s vocabulary (yes, that’s one per day!). Your job is to write down a definition for what you and your elbow partner think the word means. Then, we will discuss the actual definition as a class. You have 25 minutes to complete the “What You Think It Means” section…GO!
