Your task …  Use p73-74the internet (see page 74 Activity 5.10 for some useful websites) to find out about 3 types of Behaviour Therapies for Phobias..  Flooding  Systematic desensitisation  Implosion Theory  Create a poster or powerpoint about these therapies. Prize for the best!!! You have 30 minutes to create something

What have you found?  Which presentation is the best and why?  Extension –  Try activity 5.10 – draw up an anxiety hierarchy for a phobia of your choice – using Systematic Desensitisation  Try activity 5.11 – using Implosion Therapy  Read the article and highlight key words or sentences that relate to the Behaviour Theory of phobias

Practice Test  You have 15 minutes to complete the test (which is how long you will have in the real exam!!!)  Remember to look out for…  the number of marks required – how can you elaborate your answer for max marks? – justify, relevant example, research to back up answer.  The question words – describe, outline, evaluate, list, limitations, examples, theory, research – they will tell you what the question is asking for Good Luck!!
