2. The four pillars of MSMS, creativity, scholarship, community, and service, are important qualities that form a leader. Over the week, we performed specific activities focusing on these four qualities of leadership.

3. Creativity is necessary for good leadership because the leader needs to have ideas that will help guide the group. On our second day, we helped build this quality within each and every one of us, by using the resources provided on the MSMS and MUW campus to take pictures that represent certain topics. We also created a device to keep an egg from breaking when dropped off a balcony.

4. Scholarship is essential to be a good leader because a leader needs to understand and make smart decisions. In order to help build scholarship, we took part in a mathematical competition. We also took part in a quiz bowl competing against the other groups.

5. Community is essential to leadership, because it instills the necessary values in a team, such as clear communication and teamwork. To discover more on community, we participated in a Building Blind activity, during which we were forced to grasp the concepts of clear communication and teamwork to successfully complete the objective.

6. During the week, we also focused on service from the aspect of giving back and “doing our part.” In order to better understand this ideal, we participated in activities like writing friendly letters to our fellow campers, as well as some camp sponsors.

7. Overall, the week was a complete success. While we spent a lot of time in classes and leadership groups, we still managed to have plenty of fun!!!
