Drop Everything and Read 20 minutes, every morning. This half term – ‘Finding Fiction we Love’ Everybody participates! Next half term: Personalised pathways Interventions for Reading - all abilities

What do they do? Short introductory activity, introducing a reading skill or concept. Independent focussed reading activity. Reflection. Weekly logging of reading – through an activity in their DEAR Log books.

Becoming a critic! – 5 mins Have a look at the painting below: What do you think the writer’s message is? Do you think they have managed to convey this well? What advice might you give to the artist?
