April 20th - Verification Sheets will be sent home. April 30th - Verification Sheets due back if changes need to be made. *** Course Selection Cards will not be going home this year**

3. Required Subjects for Class of 2018 Major Areas- Meet every day-6 periods/cycle –English –Social Studies –Math –Science –Foreign Language ( Latin, Spanish, French or German) - or - –Business and Banking Concepts - or - –Reading

5. Course Level Recommendations Teachers base their recommendations on the student’s current performance in class. Level changes require discussion between parent and teacher. Students who wish to move up to the next level must demonstrate that they can perform at the higher level by showing their best work. Teachers can then change the recommendation based on performance in class.

11. Algebra Testing Students in 7 th grade level 5 or 6 math will be taking the Hanna-Orleans Algebra/Geometry Prognosis test in early February. Students who score 45 on Algebra and 22 on Geometry tests and show ability in their math class will be recommended for Algebra in 8 th grade (one year advanced).

12. Requirements for Promotion to 8 th Grade Students must pass all 5 major subjects –English –Social Studies –Math –Science –Reading Summer school remediation is a must for failing one or two major subjects. Each class costs $175+.

Lunch Study Can: Visit team teachers using your agenda book Visit a non team teacher if he/she has given you a pass Attend a music lesson Go to the bathroom with HR teacher’s approval (one student at a time) Use the library with a library pass Cannot: Visit a non-team teacher without a pass Go to the bathroom without HR teacher’s approval Go to locker during study hall Use a bathroom outside of our hallway Leave your HR while Pi team is returning from lunch
