DegreeWorks pre-load your list of advisees for you. To find a student, you may: Click on the pull-down menu Or click Find button

Clicking on Find button will pop up a new window of student list. Click to sort students by ID, Name or Degree Check to select students, then click OK. Click to quickly check or uncheck all students The pop-up windows will close and the short-listed students will go to the pull- down menu at the top.

Choose level, degree, catalog semester, program and major, minor and concentration where applicable Chosen Fields of study show up here Enter subject code and number, click Add Course Chosen Courses show up here Click Process What-If

You can see the progress a student has made if he/she study that program, major, minor or concentration.

Click “Look Ahead” on the left menu Look Ahead

Repeat entering subject(s) and number(s), if needed. Enter subject code and number, click Add Course Chosen Courses show up here Click Process New

Courses will be marked with “Planned Sem” in the Look Ahead Audit report.

Click the “Planner” tab. The Planner Worksheet on the left shows the actual degree audit report, while the Planner Block on the right is the student’s study plan Planner WorkSheet Planner Block

Each student can only have one Active Plan, which is loaded as the default plan. Click Check All Terms Then, click Process New

You can see on the Planner Worksheet how far the student is from fulfilling all the degree requirements if the plan is carried out.

You can leave comment/remark in Plan Notes at the end of the Planner Block, or in the notes box next to each semester. Click Save Plan to save. Plan Notes Notes by semester Save

You can lock a plan. E.g. lock it until you meet with the student in next meeting. Students cannot edit a locked plan, but they can save the plan as a new one and edit it. Check Locked Save To unlock a plan, uncheck Locked and Save.

If your student has more than one plan, you can select a plan from the pull-down menu and press “Load” to view it.
