Women Vote Women’s Suffrage 1869—Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony form the National Woman Suffrage Association. 1920—Nineteenth Amendment gives women the right to vote. With new right to vote, women play larger role in art, music, politics.

The Great Depression Germany and Britain were hit particularly hard. Spreads to Europe After the war, countries couldn’t repay loans from United States. The United States was the major creditor of many European countries. In the United States and Europe, the Depression ends with onset of World War II.
