Music Even though people were going through hard times. They still listened to music, or other forms of entertainment. The music they listened to generally reflected the impacts of World War 2 and the Great Depression.

Genres of Music Southern Gospel Western Swing (war songs were popular and also big bands) Authentic American voices and rhythms seemed to be what people wanted to listen to at the time

Art People liked to see productions that were inexpensive as possible due to the state they were in at the time. Artwork normally reflected what life was like for the people during some historical time.

Types of Art Theatre Radio was just recently introduced and was used to listen to the scripts of musicals Musicals that cost little to see were perfect for the people Visual art Social realism Scene paintings Images drawn from American History Mexican muralism
