Product as men’s servant Design is a user-centric activity To design a product is to give-birth to a servant that help the user Imagine what a servant will NEED TO KNOW if he/she want to serve well

Example: Microwave oven Is my door closed? Does the user want me to work now? What power-level and time the user wants? Is this the power-level and time the user wants? Is the food done?

Example: Microwave oven Is the door latch in position? Is the start button pushed? Does user stop me when he/she saw the light is on? Which button does the user push? Does the user change anything when he/she saw the readout? Does the moisture level in the chamber change?

Product events Apart from knowing what is its own condition, a product also need to know what is happening Knowing what is happening will let the product take action to change what will happen
