Agricultural Livestock Agricultural Livestock This industry involves many forms of large scale animal work. On our trip we concentrated on dairy farming. We visited the Connage highland dairy and cheese factory

All about the industry The products of this industry are fresh milk and cheese. It serves the community by selling them these products. The industry is land based as the cows need land for grazing.

Industry Resources This industry doesn’t have a seasonal pattern as the cows get milked all year round as they are kept inside in the winter. The five main resources needed for this industry are:Cows, Land for grazing, Milking Equipment/ Machinery, Correct Buildings and Staff.

Game and Wildlife This industry involves working as a gamekeeper on an estate. We met Charlie Monroe who was the gamekeeper on Moray Estates.

Industry information Moray Estates doesn’t make any products out of this industry except for the occasional deer that they sell. Other places do as they stalk pheasants and deer that they let people hunt and buy.

Resources The industry does have a seasonal pattern as stalkers don’t go out to hunt deer in the winter. The resources needed are; Land (for stalking and animals),People, Animals, Good shooters and Hygienic workers (when it comes to handling meat)

Fishing This industry involves fresh water fishing in rivers and lakes. At Moray estates they rent out parts of their rivers so people can fish for the day.

THE INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS The products of fishing are FISH and money. The people paying to fish get fish and the land/river owners get money. This industry is water based.

Information on Resources Information on Resources The industry does have a seasonal pattern as there aren’t many fish about in Winter. The resources needed are; Rivers, Fish, Equipment, Workers and Customers
