ART AND LITERATURE IN THE 1920S By: Jazz Pacheco and Sam Pourakis

GEORGIA O’KEEFFE One of the most famous artists of the 1920s. She was inspired by modernism art. Most of her art was based on urban scenes and the landscape. Two well known paintings are “Ram’s Head White Hollyhock and Little Hills” and “Manhattan”.

F. SCOTT FITZGERALD Author of The Great Gatsby American short story writer and novelist Lived in Minnesota

ABOUT ART Two important movements: Surrealism and Art Deco. Art Deco was a movement that affected archtecture It was famous in Europe before the US.

ABOUT LITERATURE It was very popular as more people became literate Authors started to win Nobel Prizes for their work Scott Fitzgerald was one of the most iconic writers of the time.
