Purpose of Resume You on paper Separate you from competition Contact information Educational and work history Highlight awards/recognitions Include activities, community service, volunteer, accomplishments

Resume: Do’s Type Keep in a professional folder Use professional paper and font Use a professional template (don't try to wing it) Check for spelling and grammar Brag! Include all of your notable accomplishments Separate sections by double space (but not every line) Use action verbs

Resume: Don’ts Handwrite anything Print from your e-mail account Use full sentences and periods Use information from Elementary school or childhood Include crazy images and colors Make longer than 1 page (if possible) Double space every line Repeat information Repeat key words LIE or GUESS!
