Proposed Objectives for Session #64 per Workplan Consider feedback from WP 5D #6 and external evaluation groups and prepare necessary responses for submission to WP 5D #7 in Feb. 2010 (IMT-Advanced) Prepare communications with external organizations as necessary Prepare M.1457-10 meeting X+1 contribution Review M.1457-10 meeting X+1 and any IMT-Advanced related contribution with 802.18 and the EC Agree to process regarding later necessary contributions to WP 5D #7; Agree to general process for approval of contributions to WP 5D outside of 802 plenary schedule beyond Workplan Review input contributions and take appropriate action Review input liaison statements and prepare responses as appropriate Prepare for IMT-Advanced Evaluation Coordination Meeting in January ‘10 Initiate an 802.16 ITU LG Correspondence Group tasked with discussion and coordination of communication with ITU-R WP 5D Correspondence Group for IMT- Advanced Update ITU LG workplan as appropriate

Motion To authorize the ITU-R Liaison Group to draft documents regarding external communications as needed, tentatively approve them on behalf of the WG (subject to confirmation at the 802.16 Closing Plenary), submit them for 802.18 TAG review, and represent the WG with the 802.18 TAG. Summary of Oct. ITU-R WP5D in Dresden Six proposals received by Oct 7, the IMT-Advanced proposal submission deadline –Proposal based on 802.16 (from IEEE, Japan, TTA) –Proposal based on LTE-Advanced (from 3GPP, Japan, China * ) Reviewed all proposal submissions at the 6 th ITU-R WP5D meeting of 14-21 Oct in Dresden, Germany Considered as two technologies –IEEE Technology (three proposals are technically identical) –3GPP Technology (three proposals are technically identical) All proposals considered “complete submissions” Step 3 (proposal submissions) completed and Step 4 (external evaluations) initiated Correspondence Group (CG) formed to facilitate external evaluations Evaluation Groups presented in 3 rd IMT-Advanced Workshop * China proposed only TDD component of LTE-Advanced (TD-LTE-Advanced)
