“Good morning Vince. I just wanted to thank you for your involvement in our children and youth this past year regarding Active and Healthy Lifestyles. The feedback I received from our participants and from their parents was very positive and supportive. Majority of our young boys came back to school asking when the next group outing will be. Thank you for introducing to our boys that there is so much out there for them to pursue in hobbies and in physical active living. Living in a small First Nation community has its restrictions and boundaries. Investment and commitment was vital to have a program likes this one take off the way it did. I believe this program brought many of our boys closer together. Many of the activities involved team work, communication, trust, physical endurance, etc. which I believe made this program such a hit. The boys learned a lot and their parents were very impressed with the whole program. Our Chief and our elder are also very supportive of the 3 day workshops. Thank you for believing in our students” Marjorie Pierro, Principal-Wagmatcookewey School
