2  Allowing smaller organisations to access ESF (up to £10K)  Engaging the “hard to reach” in learning  Making the unemployed more work ready  Improving target communities What are the Grants for?

3  Not-for-profit groups  Groups based in and run by the community they support  Groups delivering in target communities  Groups with annual income below £300K-below £50K priority  Groups employing no more than 9 FTE staff  Groups who can to provide a quality learning experience Who can apply ?

4 Project based funding Informal Learning – maximum 6 months delivery  Innovative first contact engagement activities  Improving confidence and motivation  Developing local networks e.g. Work Clubs  Supported volunteering and work experience  Soft skills development What activity can the grants support?

5  £540,000 in total  Round 1 - £250,000 across the Region  Up to £10,000 per application  Overall cap on support of £15,000  Futures budget the same  Round 3 the final Round open NOW! Deadline 3 rd Oct How much grant is available?

6 Actual costs of delivery e.g.:  Staff costs  Venue costs  Single items of equipment under £1K  Payments to participants for childcare or travel costs What costs can the grant fund?

7  The unemployed  The economically inactive  People 19 and over  People seeking to enter/re-enter the labour market  Target groups – lone parents, over 50s, the disabled, ethnic minorities All living in target communities Who can benefit?

10  Hard copy of the third round application form, with original signature (no faxed copies)  E-mailed copy of application form (in Word 97 format)  Signed copy of group’s constitution, articles of association, or rules  Copy of latest accounts or annual income and expenditure statement  Organisational “family tree” or staff listing What is a Complete Application
