8 You need to know… You will have homework almost daily. – Use your time wisely in class, during 8 th hour, and at home. You will be learning a lot of new concepts that you have not seen before. – Ask questions. Use your resources. Not everyone in this world is meant to be a mathematician…I know this. – All I ask is that you try your best and make progress throughout the year. By no means does this have to be your favorite subject.

9 Supplies You Need Every Day Textbook: Students will be issued a textbook during the second week of school. Folder: Students will need a folder to keep notes. Pencils: Students must complete daily assignments and assessments in pencil only. Work completed in any other form must be redone before it will be graded. Correcting Pens: Red is suggested, no blue/black or metallic please Dry Erase Markers: Students will need to have a dry erase marker handy. We have a classroom set of student marker boards and we use them often. We have a classroom set of erasers. Paper: Students will need an ample supply of loose-leaf notebook paper. – Algebra I students will also need a pack of graph paper.

10 Procedures You Need to Follow Agenda Agenda – Fill out first thing Monday morning, for the whole week. Restroom/Hall Passes Restroom/Hall Passes – Must fill out and take agenda, must sign out on the clipboard Homework Policy Homework Policy – 1 Day Late = 80% – 2+ Days Late = 60% – Week late = 0% Extra Credit Extra Credit – Not offered “upon request”. There will be opportunities to earn extra credit. Take advantage of it when you can!
