The Instructional Technology Website http://blogs.carrollk12.org/itt/ Is a GREAT resource! Explains how to use all of the approved tools and what you need to be aware of when you use them. Also provides a link to the Tech Request system that allows you to ask that new things be approved. Has visitors from all over the world using the CCPS resources.

The Tech Request System is the process in place to have videos approved, websites unblocked, or new tools approved.

The next slides will walk you through, step by step, how to put in a Tech Request for a new tool to be approved.

Step 1. Access the Tech Request System from the TS Portal.

Step 2. Click on Requests– add new

Step 3. Fill in the drop down boxes with your information.

Step 4: Continue filling out the information about the intended audience.

Request is for: Content specific approval Cross - curricular use (general instructional use) Explain your purpose for use and instructional plan: Content Standards/Common Core Standards addressed: Content Concerns. Is there any content that might be considered inconsistent with Carroll County community standards? Note for approval process: Step 5: Be prepared to answer these questions.

Step 6: Once all of the requested information is entered…. Click on the button. SUBMIT

Step 7: You can check the status of your request through the system at any time as you wait for an answer.

Be patient and prepared to wait. The process may take as little as a week or as long as several months depending on the complexity of the issues involved.

You will receive a confirmation when your request is submitted.
