Romans 12:3-8 NIV For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Romans 12:3-8 NIV We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve ; if it is teaching, let him teach ; if it is encouraging, let him encourage ; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously ; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently ; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7 NIV There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

1 Corinthians 12:31 NIV But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.

1 Corinthians 14:1-5 NIV Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.

1 Corinthians 14:1-5 NIV He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.
9
1 Corinthians 14:12 NIV So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.

Does the New Testament have a finite list of spiritual gifts? Are gifts for the individual of for others? How do we identify our spiritual gifts? How do we develop spiritual gifts?
