7. Prov 17:27-28, “He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. 28 Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.”

8. The more words a person says the less able he is to weigh each word, and the greater the probability that he will offend someone.

9. The prudent speak very little, knowing the power and worth of every word, Prov 12:18; 18:21.

10. Prov 12:18, “There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

11. Prov 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

12. The prudent know words can quickly get out of control, offending God and others because they anticipate the outcome, and therefore keep a bridle on their lips rather than constantly flapping their jaw. cf. Prov 10:14; 13:3; 21:23; Eccl 5:1-6

14. Prov 10:20 As this silver is carefully chosen and selected, having removed its dross = (Sin - Psa 119:119; Prov 25:4; 26:23; Isa 1:22-25; Ezek 22:18-19)…

15. Prov 26:23, “Like an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross are burning lips and a wicked heart.”

16. … the wise carefully choose their words and only speak when there is meaning or impact for righteousness.

18. The contrast of the wicked! There is no value in the “words” of the fool who espouse the worldly wisdom of Satan’s Cosmic System. Their world viewpoint in fact will lead to heartache and misery.

19. Prov 10:21

20. Prov 10:21 The lips of the wise shepherd (care for and protect) many people, including leaders and foreigners, believers and unbelievers.

21. We can be a blessing to others locally, nationally, internationally and angelically.

22. The contrast of the foolish!

23. The contrast of the foolish! Having no doctrine in the heart of their soul, the foolish gossiper will receive Divine discipline that can lead to the 3rd Stage, the Sin Unto Death.

24. The fool, because of his lack of value on the inside, (no doctrine), has little value to others on the outside, no spiritual impact in this life.

25. “The heart of fools is in their mouth; but the mouth of the wise is in their heart.” Wisdom of Sirach 21:26

26. The son is admonished to store up Bible Doctrine in his soul, vs. 14, so that he, and as many as want his words, might live and not die.

27. Grace Offering Prov 3:9-10, “Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.”
