Ruth And Orpah In Spite Of These Similarities Their responses to the reality of their situations were quite different! Orpah: Ruth 1:11-14 Why go to a foreign land when you could stay with the familiar? Ruth: Ruth 1:14-18 She was willing to face whatever might come her way.

Ruth And Orpah Ruth’s Request To Stay… Ruth 1:16-18 – When Ruth begged to stay with Naomi, she was pledging much! Faithfulness to Naomi Loyalty to Israel, forsaking Moab! Loyalty to God, forsaking Moabite idols! Her “burial grounds” were forsaken!

Ruth And Orpah What Choice Will You Make? When the time came to make a life-changing decision: Orpah left Naomi! Ruth stayed with Naomi! Ruth’s comments (1:16-17) are similar to Christ’s words (Lk. 14:26)!
