2 Electronegativity  Electronegativity is a measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding pair of electrons.  The Pauling scale is the most commonly used

3 Electronegativity  Increases from left to right  Decreases from top to bottom

4 Electronegativity  Fluorine has the highest electronegativity of 3.98  Caesium has the lowest electronegativity of 0.8  Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon have zero electronegativity.  The trend electronegativity is smooth because it has an over all consistency.
