WHAT IS PREP? Psychology Research Experience Program We have this program for 2 reasons: – Professors and grad students do more than just teach courses – they conduct research, and we rely on students, such as yourselves, for our data collection – Great first hand experience of research, and easy way to earn easy marks towards your course 2

ONLINE STUDIES Provide you with a link Fill out questionnaires online Credit Allotment: – 1 hr =.5 credits – 30 mins =.25 credits – Credits may not be updated right away. ( Please wait up one week before contacting the RESESARCHER of the study to inquire about your credit.) 11
12
ONLINE STUDIES Limit! The system will only allow you to do 2 credits worth of online studies per term – The rest of your studies MUST be done in lab (E.g. If you are enrolled in two classes that require 5 PREP credits total, you can still only complete 2 of these credits via online studies and the remaining 3 must be completed in lab) EXCEPTION: participants in on-line classes (can do all their credits on-line) 12
13
LAB STUDIES The meeting area for all in-lab studies is in front of the psychology main office (N2006) Credit Allotment: – 1 hr = 1 credit – 30 mins =.5 credits 13
