1 Results of 2004 Freshman Survey in regards to significant differences between STU and Peer Groupings

2 Survey administered during Fall 2004 to all UNI_101 sections. 101 or 57% of all new full-time freshmen responded. Comparisons available between St. Thomas University and: 1.all 4 yr Catholic Institutions 2.low selectivity (in terms of SAT scores) Catholic 4 yr institutions 3.all 4 yr colleges nationwide.

3 STU freshmen are generally like freshmen attending other Catholic colleges as well as all 4 year colleges Except in regards to the following:

4 Citizenship Status

5 What is the highest level of formal education of you parents (College Degree) ?

6 Do you have any concern about your ability to finance your college education?

7 Is This College your :

8 Student estimates chances are ‘very good’ that he will:

9 Reasons noted as 'very important' in deciding to go to college

10 Student rated self 'above average' or 'highest 10%" as compared with the average person of his/her age in:

12 Objective considered to be ‘essential’ or ‘very important’:
