Capacity Development for CDM - Egypt, Second National Workshop - Phase II - Cairo, 12-13 January 2004 13 CDM NC PERMANENT SECRETARIAT The CDM PS is located in the CC Unit (SSE) The CDM PS missions : Spokes person for the CDM National Council; One-stop-desk for CDM project operators; Transmit the projects to the CDM NC for review, and to communicate the results to the project promoters; Register and deliver the accepted project approvals in the name of the CDM National Council;

Capacity Development for CDM - Egypt, Second National Workshop - Phase II - Cairo, 12-13 January 2004 15 Project Evaluation and Approval Procedures DNA NC has approved Two steps: I. Preliminary Evaluation : Examine the documentation submitted by the project promoter and check that it fulfils the major CDM requirements in Morocco ( using the PIN : Project idea Note) Check that the project fulfils the three following conditions : 1. It lead to real and measurable GHG reductions ; 2. It is in conformity with the national SD criteria; 3. It has no external negative effects.
