5. Students who come to school regularly have the best chance at success! You have 5 days to bring in an excused when you’re out – no reminders Excuses are turned in to Mrs. Cogan and can be turned in any time during the day If you are absent and not turning in excuses, then you will be considered truant which leads to truancy intervention meetings and potentially fines from the district justice ($300 and up)! Students with excessive absences (these include both excused and unexcused absences) totaling 10 days or more will be placed on a doctor’s note requirement for the remainder of the school year. 10. Schedules Are you in the right classes? Monday 9/14 – Friday 9/25 elective changes are permitted – providing there’s space!! Monday 9/14 – Monday 10/19 level changes are permitted with TEACHER and PARENT APPROVAL Also OK to drop an elective for a study hall if you don’t already have one ALL CHANGES REQUIRE A NOTE OF PERMISSION FROM HOME!!
