17. Department Rules 80% attendance is compulsory for a student in every semester to be eligible for appearing in GTU Exam. Use of mobile phones in the campus is strictly prohibited. Term work for every subject should be completed and submitted to the respective subject teachers, as and when required.

19. Rules for Detention A Student will be eligible for appearing in regular exam only if student's backlog is less than 5 excluding immediate previous semester. If a Student fails in 5 or more Subjects in 1 st Semester, she will be eligible for getting promoted to 2 nd Semester, but will be promoted to 3 rd Sem only if she does not have backlogs in more than 4 subjects of Sem 1.

20. Issuing Books in Library A student can issue book at a time from the library for 1 week only after student I-Card has been issued to her.

21. Anti Ragging Students will have to fill an anti-ragging form online by visiting the site: https://antiragging.in/Site/Affidavits_Registration.aspx After filling the form, they have to submit print out of the form in the department after getting it duly signed from parents.

22. Rules for students using Unfair Means in Exam Any student caught using unfair means in any exams will be punished by the university as under: All the subject papers of current examination will be disqualified and she will not be able to appear in the next examination.

23. Hostel Information Currently one government girls hostel is located near Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad. Students will be admitted to the hostel on merit basis only. Construction of hostel is currently going on, in this campus itself, which will be ready by next year.
