1. I chose this building because the building is the second tallest building in the U.S!!!

2. What is the Empire State Building? The Empire State Building is a fantastic landmark! To visit this landmark you would have to go to the U.S.A. There is a state called New York, the Empire State Building is located in New York City. It is famous because it is the 2 nd tallest building in the in the U.S.A. That is what makes this amazing building a must see in the U.S.A. The Empire State building is 102 stories high(1 250 ft tall). This is an office building has amazing views for the people who work inside. It is the 3 rd tallest building in the world which really caught my eye. The thing that amazed me was the fact that it cost $40 948 900 that is a lot of money!

3. Why was the Empire state building created? The Empire State building is the most wonderful thing! Gregory Johnson is the fantastic man who has built the Empire State building. This building was built in a competion for the biggest building. It was the 3 rd tallest building in the world, the 2 nd in the U.S.A. Now it is the 2 nd tallest in the World, and 2 nd tallest in the U.S.A. The Empire State building was first started in 1929. After 3 years in the making it was completed! It was completed in 1931. The Empire State building is one of many landmarks in the world that you need to see!

4. Interesting Facts 1 The Empire State building was 1 453 feet and 8 9/16 inches from the base of it to the top of the lightning rod. The lightning rod helps by when there is a thunder and lightning storm the Empire State building is so tall the lightning could hit it and start it on fire the lightning rod stops the lightning by letting the lightning hit the lightning rod. The Empire State building has been around for almost 100 years only 17 more years and it will be 100!!

5. Interesting Facts 2 The building is very dramatically beautiful! The Empire State building has 73 elevators, 6 514 windows, 1 860 steps. Imagine you had to go to the very top floor you would burn a lot of calories if you went up the stairs! Imagine you were a window inspector for the Empire State building you would be there for about 4 hours because you would have to inspect 6 514 windows! Imagine you were a elevator repairer if they were damaged badly you would have to repair 73 damaged elevators! What if you had to do all of those things in one day you would be there for at least 12 hours!

6. WOW! The Empire State building is very cool! The coolest thing about the Empire State building was the fact that it was the tallest building for 41 years(1931-1972.)But in 1972 a building that was built was taller than the Empire State building. The Empire State building was no longer the tallest building in the world.
