2. Jurupa Phase II – Notice of Completion
Jurupa Phase II ground mounted solar systems at:
Nueva Vista High School
Mission Middle School
Project Goals:
Install low cost ground mounted solar
Take advantage of a new limited Edison rate
Distribute power to non-solar sites
Project pays for itself through energy savings
Saves District over $10.5 million over life of project
Take advantage of $100,000 in utility incentives
The project is now completed and Edison has approved the project for interconnection. Tonight we are asking for your approval of our Notice of Completion for the Jurupa II project.

4. Jurupa Prop. 39 Phase III Project
Board approved project on January 20, 2015
We used two years of the District’s Prop.39 allocations
The project scope of work is:
HVAC unit replacements
Pool pump VFD retrofits at two high schools
Energy efficient exterior lighting upgrades
New gymnasium lighting upgrades at two high schools
Lighting inverter replacements
Project cost $3 million

5. Let’s Look Back at What We Have Accomplished
July of 2011, Jurupa conducted competitive process to select an energy services partner.
District goals for energy projects were:
Goal # 1- Develop projects that pay for themselves through energy savings and continue to reduce costs for the District once they are paid for.
Together, we have completed two projects and are in construction on a third. All projects will pay for themselves through energy savings and return over $46.3 million in net savings over the life of the project.
Goal # 2- Improve District facilities and learning environment
We have installed over:
445 new air conditioners
21,000 new lighting fixtures
Two high school gyms now have new air conditioning systems
1,700 exterior lighting fixtures are being installed to improve campus security
Two high school gyms will soon have new lighting systems
Two high school swimming pools will soon have new pump controls

6. Let’s Look at What We Have Accomplished (cont.)
Goal # 3- Take advantage of utility incentives and other sources of capital to pay for projects
To date, we have secured over $3.4 million in utility incentives and have been approved for $1.9 million in Prop. 39 funds.
Goal # 4- Fix long term electric cost through solar installations
When we have installed all Prop. 39 energy efficiency projects, it is expected that existing solar systems will generate an estimated 70% of the District’s electric consumption.
Additional District goals that have been achieved are:
Improve air quality
Benefit local economy
Provide in-service teacher training
Reduce facility maintenance costs
Provide energy performance guarantees
Improve campus security
Continued the District’s long term standing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices

7. What’s Next?
Prop. 39 funds are expected to be available for five years
We are currently discussing with staff the next Prop. 39 project which will be Jurupa IV
