TRIASSIC PERIOD In the Mesozoic (dinosaur) era there was three periods and this is the Triassic period.

LANDSCAPE In the period the land was enormous mass It was called Pangaea During the period the supercontinent slowly began to break up

CLIMATE The period was characterised by heat It had vast deserts and warm seas

MAMMALS AND OTHER ANIMALS The mammals and other animals in this period were Frogs, Turtles, Crocodiles, Ammonites, Nautiluses, Squids, Dragonflies, Scorpions, Millipedes, Goose barnacles, Snails, Slugs, Jellyfishes, Cynodonts, Placerias, Therapsids and Synapsids

PLANTS AND VEGETATION In this period there were Conifers, Modern Conifers and Evergreens

DINOSAURS IN GENERAL In general the dinosaurs were small and lightly built

COELOPHYSIS It was 9 foot long It weighed around 27kg It was hollow boned It fed on smaller reptiles It was quick on it’s feet

EORAPTOR It’s legth was 3 foot It walked on 2 feet It was the earliest dinosaur

IGUANODON It was the first dinosaur to be discovered It’s bones and teeth are different from many other dinosaurs

AT THE END OF THE PERIOD At the end of this period it ended with a mass extinction It wiped most animals and reptiles
