Workplans 2005 Workprogramme for 2005-2006 approved by Management Board (AF first meeting reviewed) For 2005 we updated this workprogramme in two ways: Linked activities to the budget (ensure full accountability) – result based management Added activities beyond the once specified for us by the Management Board – to make good progress (retreat) Management Board approved activities all kept and new ones added This updated workprogramme will also go back to Management Board in October for approval

Advisory Forum, 29-30 September 2005 Workplans 2006 Currently being developed – more sophisticated Principles of result-based management fully taken into account (accountability) for ERs and funding 2006 workplans (establishment plan) – next AF meeting Parallel a medium-term planning is also carried out 2007-2013 (7 years financial perspective in EU) requires also a long-term focus

Advisory Forum, 29-30 September 2005 Workplan of Director’s Office Governance role MB, AF – strategic and policy issues Internal management of ECDC ( technical issues ) Strategic partnerships (external relations) Country support function: counterparts, assets and gaps Media and public relations (Eurosurveillance) Focal point for an integrated information system For 2006 there will be a workplan embracing these tasks (no workplan for 2005)
