2 Grades K-2 Newark Futures Program Fee Based Only 60 students = K(20)+ 1 (20)+ 2(20)  1 teacher and 2 Aides/Subs  School Dismissal time until 5:00p.m/5:30p.m. (1.5 -2.5hours) Program for Parents (PFP)  All parents apply with After School Registration Form  Those that do not qualify for PFP $30 per week/ $6 per day Resources needed: Community Engagement Specialist or Parent Lead or Aide at each school to assist in coordination. Training for designated person. Anticipated Obstacles: Parents not engaged in 30 hours of work/school/training activity Counter-measure: Match parents to programs

3 Title 1/EXCEL – Grades 3 -8 60 students = 3 rd (20) + 4 th (20) + 5 th (20)  3 teachers 30 students =6 th (10) + 7 th (10) + 8 th (10)  1 teacher/ 1 Aide  School dismissal time until 5:00p.m/5:30p.m.

4 Title 1/EXCEL – Grades 3 -8  Non-Academic:  Character Development & Team Building  October – December = Soccer & Bowling  January – March = Volleyball  March – May = Basketball/Cheerleading  College/Career Awareness & Exploration  Homework Assistance & Academic Tutoring

8 Attendance Goals 150 students 150 days of program K-2= 60 3-5 = 60 5-8 = 30

9 OELT Support and Monitoring 1.Nutrition and Nutrition Paperwork  Meals only No snacks 2.Payroll  Bi-weekly 3.Attendance  Daily, Weekly & Monthly 4.Program Support (forms, technical assistance, etc.) 5.ELT Staff Development 6.Regular Meeting w/ Principal and School Leadership 7.ELT Quality Assurance, Evaluation and Assessment 8.Field Trip Coordination 9.Supply ordering and coordination

10 T-1 Principal Led Alternative  150 days of Program  Approximately 90 students  Approximate $800 per student allocation  Principal responsible for payroll, supplies and field trips  OELT responsible for monitoring of nutrition and attendance & periodic meetings with school leadership

11 NPS Bolden Center  Culture*Community*College*Career  High School and College Exploration and Preparation  Open to Students in grades 7-12  Tutoring in ELA, Math, ESL, SAT, ACT  Computer Lab Access, Robotics & 3-D Printing  TV, Recording, Graphics, Dance, Theatre & Arts  Available for Individual School Activities

12 How can I get additional ELT Staff? Every additional 100 meals served (over 150 average) = ½ teacher for 2 hours per day/ 150 days
