Background information Verizon Wireless is the largest telecommunications network in the United States. Has 83.7 Million subscribers

Marketing problems Verizon customers are complaining that the company has a very narrow selection of phones and is falling behind with the technilogical advances of cellular phones. Also had lawsuit involving deceptive marketing.

When the plan stated that the user had unlimited access to data sevices when after a user had uploaded 5g’s of data there service was disconnected and they were not notefied. This resulted in up to 1mill in payouts to people whose accounts had been terminated.

History of marketing stratigies When the company first started the marketing phrases were “join in”, “can u hear me now” and “we never stop working for you” In 2005 Verizon introduced the army of technicians with the test man to prove that it is a large network In 2008 Verizon introduced the horror movie dead zones

Other things that verizon uses for its marketing Have culturally diverse locations and multi- lingual employees in those locations
