2. Drummer Symmetrical audiometry. Uses a high hat cymbal near left ear. “Feels” that left ear is “not right”. Next slide shows asymmetrical OAEs

4. Musician moving away from drummer Lead singer with drummer to rear. High hat cymbal to the singer’s rear-left. Improvement in left ear OAE after 6 months when moved away from drummer. No audiometric asymmetry noted on either test, despite OAE asymmetry.

6. “TTS” at a non-audiometric frequency After a loud performance, audiometry was normal, but, abnormal 5000 Hz OAE. This is not a routine audiometric frequency. Audiometry was performed at 5000 Hz and a 10 dB notch was noted. Resolved after 2 weeks (probably sooner).
