2  Installing iTunes  Setting up Your iPod  Importing songs from CDs into iTunes  Downloading songs from a website into iTunes  Transferring songs from iTunes into to your iPod  Enjoy your iPod

3  What is iTunes: A program that allows you to put Music on your iPod Allows easy manipulation and organization of songs on your computer Only program compatible with iPod data transfer

4  Go to apple.com/iTunes to download the latest version.apple.com/iTunes  you should see a window with the screen below:  Click "Download Now" to start the download

5  The File Download-Security Warning dialog window appears Click on Run to run and save iTunes on Computer

6  After iTunes is installed restart to your Computer  Launch the iTunes program  Plug your iPod into the computer USB port  iTunes will automatically detect your iPod and the iPod setup assistant window will appear

7  You can stick with the default name for your device, but it’s always good to pick something more fun. So we give it a name "MicroTV".

8  Uncheck "automatically update music" to have the ability to control iPod manually  You may find that having iTunes sync your iPod automatically works better for you, however.

9  click "Next" and you'll see:  If you want, register your iPod or just click "Finish".

10  Now, you can see iTunes in all its glory  Just below the Music Store, It says "MicroTV", as that's the name we gave to the iPod.

11  Insert an audio CD into your computer's CD drive.  When the list of songs appears in the iTunes window, deselect any songs you don't want to import.  To add the selected songs to your library, click the Import CD button (at the bottom of the iTunes window).

12 To download a song from a website :  Find an audio file you want on a website  Click the file to download it to your computer  Drag the file to the iTunes window.

13  To copy the jazz album, by Jeff Lorber, onto the iPod  You click on the "Jazz" genre, then drag and drop that onto the name of the iPod on the left side.

14  Then You can see the music being copied onto the iPod itself

15  Once it's done, click on the little "eject" button to eject the iPod  Start enjoying your iPod
