Aims To built a Joint Slovak-Hungarian Laboratory for Development of Catalyzed Chemical Processes of Biomass Utilization by cooperation of partners research groups, which will be concentrated mainly on utilization of agrarian byproducts from frontier regions. First of all: - Catalytic conversions of bio-oils obtained by pyrolytic decomposition (disposal) of food processing wastes (raw bone meal, etc.) or from lignocellulosic wastes to fuels and fertilizer. - Development of new effectively catalyzed process of producing low alcohols from lower bio-carboxylic acids formed by fermentation or thermal decomposition of lignocellulosic materials. - Development of new effectively catalyzed processes of bioglycerol transformation to useful chemical products, fine chemicals or chemical specialties ( carbonate, carboxylic acids, ethers, lower diols)
