Kangaroos People hunt kangaroos for there skin and hides. Kangaroo’s are destroying the grassland habitat of threatened species

FACTS The kangaroo is a national symbol of Australia *A baby kangaroo is called a joey. *A male kangaroo is commonly called an old man. *Western Grey Kangaroos are known as stinkers. *Male kangaroos often playfully "box" each other. *Kangaroos can hop at speeds up to 40/60 mph., and jump 45 feet. *Female Red Kangaroos are often called "blue Flyers". *Eastern Gray Kangaroos are late night eaters. Kangaroos can swim The red kangaroo has a gestation period of 30 days and the baby weighs only 1 gram. A group of kangaroos is known as a mob.
