2 Typography in Design Graphic Designers choose the kind of typeface that enhances an overall design and speaks for itself as a part of that design. 6 Consider a silhouette of a noun – baby, bomb, boot…. Think of a phrase; perhaps a description, lyrics or a well known verse that relates to the object. 7 Use markers to complete sketches. Final works may be hand drawn, collaged (ransom note style), or completed on a computer. Use the media that best fits the message that you want to communicate.
