Mark Transmissions Make sure your transcript is up-to-date and accurate Electronically (we take care of it)

Offers of Admission Earliest offers – February 1 st Must confirm acceptance through www.ontariocolleges.ca www.ontariocolleges.ca Deadline to confirm acceptance – June 1 st Check email (even SPAM folder)

English Language Requirements In Canada less than 5 years, may be required to write an English Language Proficiency Test (i.e. TOEFL) Application will not be considered until test results have been received Research now (test dates, locations, times) Online practice test

OSAP Financial assistance (it is a loan) Based on financial need (income + assets) Can begin to apply in late April/early May: http://www.ontario.ca/education-and- training/how-get-osap Must wait until you have received an offer of admission and have a student number from the post-secondary school to apply If accepted, you receive half the money at the start of the school year, and the remainder during the school year

30% Tuition Grant Apply for 30% tuition grant http://www.ontario.ca/education-and-training/30-off- ontario-tuition Criteria: parents’ gross income <$160k, full time post secondary student in a program immediately after high school, CDN citizen/permanent resident Money you don't have to repay Automatically entered if applying for OSAP; if not, you need to apply Up to $850 for college diploma and certificate students Up to $1,830 for applied degree programs

Important Dates (2015-2016) Oct. 17-18: Student Life Expo (Metro Toronto Convention Centre) Oct 19-20: Ontario College Information Fair at Enercare Centre (Exhibition Place) Nov 4: Pathways in Motion at RHSS Campus Tours/Open Houses – ASAP Feb 1: equal consideration deadline, earliest release of offers, earliest date to confirm offer of admission April/May: apply for OSAP and the 30% tuition grant May1: confirmation of acceptance deadline June 15: earliest date for payment of tuition fees July: offers can continue into this month
