The Who The primary lineup consisted of guitarist Pete Townsend, vocalist Roger Daltry, bassist John Entwislte, and drummer Keith Moon.

British Mod Style Blues Mod (originally modernist, sometimes capitalised) is a subculture that originated in London in the late 1950s and peaked in the early to mid 1960s. Something that was cool, and hip to teenagers and media. The members of The Who grew up in the same London neighborhoods as other London Mods.

Members Original Members 1965-1968 Syd Barrett- Guitarist, lead vocals Roger Watters – Bass, Vocals Nick Mason – drums Richard Wright - keyboard Due to Syd Barrett extensive drug use, David Gilmore replaces Syd as guitarist and vocals 1968-1985 – the band would remain with these individuals In 1985 – Roger Waters will leave the band
