3. Once upon a time a young boy who was called Matthew lived in a small village. He was very friendly and courageous, that’s why everybody in the village liked him. One day Matthew walked in the forest to take many plants for his mother. Until the hour of dinner, he walked in the forest. Suddenly, when he decided to go back home, he heard a shout of somebody who was frightened… 1

5. I know this voice! thought Matthew, it’s Emily! I must find her to know what happened.” So he ran in the forest to the place where Emily had screamed. He was worried for Emily because she was a good friend…and he was a little in love… Matthew ran very fast, and he arrived in a little clearing in the middle of the forest. And in this clearing, he saw Emily. And near Emily, a big bear… 3

7. The bear was angry. Matthew was afraid but he wanted to help Emily. He went in front of Emily and put his hands in front of him to push the bear away, but he knew this move wouldn’t scare the bear… Suddenly, a blue bolt of lightning sprang out of Matthew’s hands and touched the bear who fell on the ground. Matthew and Emily were petrified and Matthew looked at his hands. “I…I have magic powers ! he said” 5

9. The bear was always on the ground. > asked Emily Matthew approached the bear. « No, it’s just sleeping, said Matthew. _ Can we go back to the village? _ Yes of course! >> Hand in hand, the two teenagers went back to their village where Matthew showed his power. The villagers were surprised but they accepted Matthew and his powers. 7

10. A big party was organized for Matthew because he saved Emily and all the village was happy.

11. Later, Matthew will become a famous wizard who will save the world many times. He will marry Emily with who he will have many children: for example Dumbledore or Merlin...
