GENERATION OF FORECASTS Model products analyzed by forecasters and discussed in details in a conference A forecast arrived at in a consensus This forecast is past over to PWS to write in a dissemination language and disseminated to users through, emails and posted on website. Warnings and Dissemination Based on Forecast issued- severe weather areas are identified and zoned Details of severity of phenomena are noted and included in warning However for floods- details of severity are forwarded to OP for dissemination to affected areas and response strategy Occasionally in case of rainfall heavy rainfall warnings – press statements are released Presentation at SWFDP at Entebbe10
