MATING Starfish free spawn. Free spawning is when sex cells are released in to the water. Starfish gather into groups in increase chance of egg meeting sperm. Sperm and egg is released in numerous amounts. Some starfish are asexual. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsxGOSoc114

PREGNANCY Females can carry the larvae by having the larvae attached. If not attended to by the mother, the larvae flows in the current till in sinks to the ocean floor. It takes 4 days the blob to start forming into a starfish. After it hatches, its known as a larvae.

OFFSPRING The starfish can get raised by the mother by being attached or it will be on its own. It stays protected hiding under sea rocks and coral. They are at risk to be eaten by whale. They feed on minuscule plants and animals floating nearby.
