12 Is a way to understand decision making on effort at work, based on Connection of effort and performance. (E  P) Connection of performance and rewards. (P  R) Connection reward to the individual needs /desire. Strength of the individual’s drive to satisfy need /desire. Connections are scored and referred to as valency High score means high motivation Low score means low motivation
