External Examiner Reporting You are required to report annually to the University on the conduct of and issues related to assessment; A report pro forma and guidance will be provided to you in June; The report encompasses the following areas: 1.Academic and Professional Standards 2.Assessment Strategy 3.Process and Procedures 4.Quality Enhancement 5.Collaborative Provision Confidence Judgements; Supporting commentary; External Examiners may, in exceptional circumstances, report separately and confidentially to the Vice-Chancellor on any matters of serious concern.

Outcomes from your Report Your report will be shared with: 1.Programme Staff and Senior Management 2.Student Representatives 3.UWE Collaborative Partners 4.Chief External Examiners Faculty Responses Your report will feed into UWEs Annual Monitoring cycle, reporting to: –Faculty Academic Standards and Quality Committee and the –University Quality and Enhancement Committee Thematic Summary Review with enhancement themes identified Deadlines: prompt and substantial reports

Fees and Expenses Fees: –Your fee is confirmed in your appointment letter –Fees are typically: £250 per annum (1-5 modules) £550 per annum (6-20 modules) Plus £75 for any additional Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) programme responsibility –Fees are paid upon the receipt of your annual report Expenses: –Refer to Induction Pack for our policy Data Protection Statements Change of Circumstances: –Obligation to ensure you inform us of any changes to your circumstances.
