Equations Equation: An equation is a mathematical statement, in symbols, that two things are the same (or equivalent). Equations are written with an equal

Decameter A metric unit of length equal to 10 meters.

Exponent The exponent tells how many times a number is multiplied by itself.

Acute Angle An angle whose measure is less than 900 is called an acute angle.

Binomial A binomial can be simply defined as a polynomial which has two terms, but they are not like terms. For example, 3x - 5z3, 4x - 6y2.

FOIL Method FOIL is an acronym for First Outer Inner Last. It is method by which binomials are multiplied.

Fraction It is a ratio between two numbers. For example: 9/11.

Leading Term The term of a polynomial which contains the highest value of the variable is called the leading term.

Least Common Denominator The least common denominator is the smallest whole number that can be used as a denominator for two or more fractions.

Mixed Number Mixed number is also called mixed fraction. This is a way of representing improper fraction as the sum of a number and a proper fraction
