5 08/31/11Mr. Goecks5 Respect, Responsibility, Trust Preparation Bring your pen or pencil, your notebook, and your book everyday to class. Be prepared to learn new things. No cell phones in class, if I hear or see them you will get one warning, it gets set on my desk and you get it back at the end of class. Second time I take it and you will need to get it from Mr. Matthys.

7 08/31/11Mr. Goecks7 Substitute days When there is a substitute in the room the behavior should not change If your name is left by the substitute for any reason, The result will be being written up and you will see the principal. Be respectful and do the assigned task or reading like you always would

9 08/31/11Mr. Goecks9 Grades Quarter Grades – 25% is homework – 25% is quiz scores – 40% is test scores – 10% is participation Late work is worth 50% whether it is 1 day or 6 weeks late

10 08/31/11Mr. Goecks10 Grades Continued Extra credit – worth one percentage point per assignment. The questions at the end of each section we read may be done for extra credit if they are not an assignment. Grades and make-up work are always posted.

11 08/31/11Mr. Goecks11 Grades Continued Cheating will result in a loss of that grade-0%-and being written up to the office for discipline – 1 st Offense – Detention, zero, parent contact – 2 nd Offense – Zero, ISS time, OSS time, Parent meeting, Possible removal from the class

12 08/31/11Mr. Goecks12 Semester Grades 40% of your 1 st quarter grade 40% of your 2 nd quarter grade 20% of your semester grade is the final exam – Quarter grades become very important at semester grade time
