4  Definition: › A struggle within one's self; a person must make some decision, overcome pain, resist an urge, etc. › Internal conflict is NOT visible to others  Example: › Ms. Sobotka really wants to go out to dinner with her friends but she knows she has papers to grade. She is conflicted about whether or not to go.

5  Definition:  A struggle with a force outside one's self.  Example › Harry Potter versus Voldemort. Here, Harry has a conflict with a person that is NOT himself. › …
