OUTLOOK OVERVIEW We need to aim for proficiency at basic Outlook functions needed on a day to day basis. Calendars Sharing Calendars Professional and consistent signature line Responding to emails within 24 hours Connect to VPN Daily Consistent Auto reply

1.All emails must have a professional and consistent signature 1.Name 2.Title 3.Department 4.Address 5.Toll free number 6.Direct number 7.Fax number 8.If series 6 and 63, you must attach the securities tag line. Professional and Consistent Signature

Check your email every 24 hours, connect to VPN daily Reply to all emails in a timely manner, within 24 hours of receipt All emails need to be spell checked and in a professional tone CAPS = SHOUTING Communication through emails

When you are unable to access email due to meeting, travel or scheduled time off, please use the out of office assistant in Outlook ACTIVITY Step 1. Connect to VPN and Outlook Consistent Auto Reply

Step 2. Click on File Step 3: Choose Automatic Replies

Step 4: Select send automatic replies Step 5: : Enter dates Step 6: Click outside organization Step 7: Enter message in info box (see handout) Step 8: Email person beside you Step 9: Verify out of office reply from partner and stand up
